At Hêvî we believe that women are the pillars of society. They are the backbone that carry the traumatized, the war shattered, the injured, the weary, the hungry, the children and the old.
Women and girls consist of 50% of the refugees, the internally displaced and the stateless population globally. They are also the ones who are often unaccompanied, pregnant, caretakers of small children and the elderly and heads of households after war and natural disasters.
So naturally, they require the most support.
Despite this, women and girls are often the ones who receive the least support emotionally, psychologically, physically, financially and otherwise.
At Hêvî our motto in supporting women revolves around the notion that when you support women you support an entire society, an entire generation.
